The Bakersville Volunteer Fire
Department was the winner of the cooking competition at the
Bakersville Creekwalk Arts Festival. Charles Gibson (left), one
of the coordinators looks on as WTOE's Steve Murphy (right), who
judged the competition, presents the trophy. The wooden base of
the trophy was made by James Ouzts, the top pottery piece was
made by Shane Mickey.

at 17 months was one of the many young people who enjoyed the
Bakersville Creekwalk Arts Festival this past weekend. Nicholas
is the son of Kenny and Carma Schlabach of Bakersville. looks
like he would have voted for the corn in the cooking
competition. |
