The first annual
blacksmith festival was held on Lower Street in Spruce Pine on
Saturday, April 30th. Blacksmiths from the area demonstrated
their craft and had some of their work for sale. Above Donnie
Walker demonstrates on an anvil. At right, one of Bill
Brown's beautiful lamps and below fireplace sets made by another
blacksmith. Along with all the blacksmith booths there were food
