The
Chamber’s Membership Committee is working this year to develop
workshops and seminars on issues of concern to our area businesses.
The first workshop they will sponsor this year is entitled,
“Employment and Health Care Changes in 2010” and the featured
speaker will be David Smith. David is from Avery County and has a
rich history in working with health care issues. His presentation
will include an update on how the Health Care Reform legislation
will impact businesses in the coming year.
The workshop will be at First Baptist Church in Spruce Pine on
January 28th with a snow date of February 4th. If you are a resource
officer for your company, or anyone who needs any update on health
care changes 2010, this workshop will be beneficial for you. Please
complete the attached form and return it to the Chamber by January
26th.
