Shane Wallace of Spruce Pine caught
this big fish (largemouth bass) in Asheboro on April 18th. It
weighed in at 7 1/2 lbs and was 25 inches long! |

You may not recognize him but you
can hear about this cat when you listen to "Murphy in the
Morning". This is one of the cats that was part of the package
when Murphy got married. This is "Felix the Great" when he was a
kitten. |

Vicky Hoilman took advantage of a
rare opportunity when this red-headed woodpecker flew into one
of her windows. He was dazed for a few minutes, which gave her
the chance to get this picture. He did recover and fly off. |

Jim Wiedenhaupt (in hat) was one of the blacksmiths
demonstrating at this year's Blacksmith Festival in Spruce Pine.

wedding of their son Daniel to Miss Jenny Miller of
Texas.
Daniel is in the U.S AirForce. He is stationed in Colorado
Springs, CO. He is scheduled to deploy to Iraq in September.

Michael R. Napier, with the The Academy Group, Inc. Napier
served more than 27 years in the FBI, in positions in the
private and public sectors. |
