The Artrain has arrived in Spruce Pine! It is open to the public through Sunday. The Artrain is a national exhibit
that is traveling throughout the nation. It is featuring Native
American artists. The Toe River Arts Council is sponsoring the
Artrain and admission is free. Pictured above is the Artrain parked

Officially it's Jenaca Ashlyn Jarrett. She was born March 31st
and weighed 6 lb, 10oz. |

Saturday night, April 16th before the big Hospice of Mitchell
County show, Elvis impersonator Mike Helms, Marsha' Gardner,
Afternoon Delight owner Darlene McVickers and WTOE's Morning Man
Steve Murphy, who emceed the show, gathered for a reception at
Afternoon Delight Restaurant. The show, which was held at the

Looks kind of strange now with all our warm weather and the
flowers blooming, but this was taken only a few short weeks ago
by Benny Young in the Linville area.
