Despite early
morning rain there was still a good turn
out of motorcycles that made the trip to Johnson City through Spivey Gap
for lunch and then back to Spruce Pine through Bluff City, Elizabethton,
Elk Park and Newland. There were 61 motorcycles that made the round trip
with many Police Escorts along the way. The weather broke as soon as
the ride started and everyone enjoyed mostly sunny skies
and warm
temperatures. The group raised $1500 for the American Cancer Society and will
meet again the night of the Relay For Life walk on July15th to help raise
more money for this great cause.
